Until a few decades ago, we were taught to accept hair loss and balding as a natural irreversible state. Even now you may come across so many people who have receding hairline or thinning hair but do not seek out a good trichologist because they are not aware of transformational solutions being available which are safe and permanent!
Dr Balvant Arora of The Hair Loss Clinic has been helping out many patients who face hair loss and believe there is no viable solution in sight. At our clinic, we have a multitude of options for every hair loss case ranging from simple medication to local application lotions and even surgical procedures that can restore your hair permanently.
What Are The Surgical Solutions For Hair Loss?
First off, we would like to inform you that The Hair Loss Clinic does not directly recommend surgery for hair loss to any of our patients. We conduct thorough Hair Analysis Exam here and a detailed consultation session with the patient before we recommend surgery. Surgery is endorsed by our doctor only when we know that it is the best option for transformation.
The Hair Loss Clinic has two Surgical Options to treat hair loss permanently. Both these options are safe and are known to work wonders! The main surgical procedure that is performed to combat hair loss is called hair transplant. All the surgical options are different techniques of hair transplant.
Hair transplant surgery involves removing healthy hair follicles from one area of the body (known as the donor area) and transplanting them in the area where there is no hair (known as the recipient area). The hair follicles used for the purpose of removal and grafting are called “follicular units”.
Dr Balvant Arora’s The Hair Loss Clinic offers the following options for Hair Transplant Surgery:
Option1
FUT Hair Transplant:
FUT stands for Follicular Unit Transplantation. It is one of the oldest techniques in Hair Transplant surgery. Under the FUT method, the surgeon harvests a linear strip of hair follicles (generally from the back of the head). The strip is microscopically dissected into smaller units known as grafts. These grafts are then implanted on the head where there is no hair.
FUT is a proven hair transplant technique with commendable results that last over the lifetime of the patient. You can learn more about our FUT Hair Transplant here.
Option2
FUE Hair Transplant
FUE stands for Follicular Unit Extraction. It is an advanced hair transplant technique that has gained popularity in recent times. FUE is preferred over FUT because of the minimally invasive nature of the surgery. It leaves behind minimal scarring.
In the FUE technique, our Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Balvant Arora, will collect the hair follicle units with the help of a motorized punch of motorized FUE Technique machine. They are then collected in the small canister by suction or are picked up with micro-forceps using no-touch technique and are collected in a petri dish. There are no stitches given and therefore the pain is less in this method.
