WHAT IS LASER HAIR
THERAPY?
Laser Hair Therapy (LHT) is a new, non-surgical,
scientific approach in the treatment of hair loss,
thinning hair, and scalp problems. LHT has been
medically tested and is FDA-approved for safety and
effectiveness.
The LHT non-surgical treatments utilize a device
containing 110-160 therapeutic soft low light level
lasers. LHT delivers light energy directly from
110-160 laser diodes covering your head. LHT
functions on the same scientific principle, as that
of photo-bio-stimulation; laser light stimulates
cell metabolism and helps damaged cells to repair
themselves. This breakthrough technology has
recently been featured on national newscasts across
the country. Physicians are praising this new
technology as an effective treatment of hair loss,
when used in conjunction with proper scalp and hair
hygiene products, such as HLCC™ Complete, the most
potent natural DHT inhibitor and 5% Minoxidil w/ 5%
Saw Palmetto.
THE HISTORY OF LOW
LEVEL LASER HAIR THERAPY
In
1964, Professor Andre Mester was experimenting in
Budapest, Hungary with the use of low-level laser
energy ("soft cool" photo light that penetrates the
surface of the skin with no heating effect, no
damage to the skin and no known negative side
effects) to treat skin conditions in diabetic
patients. He discovered that sores that would not
heal were healed. He also, to his amazement,
observed an accelerated hair growth and thickening
of hair in the treated areas. Professor Mester’s
chance discovery was the beginning of an entire new
science devoted to developing practical medical
procedures, using low-level energy lasers.
The modern history of medical lasers
began in the 70's and owes much to IBM. Doctors
working in the IBM laboratories were the first to
use lasers to remove tissue without causing any heat
damage to surrounding areas.
This pioneering work paved the way
for others, like Dr. Steven Trokel, a New York City
ophthalmologist, who performed the first laser eye
surgery in 1987 and led to the most significant
advancement in medical applications thus far--the
pulsed laser. The pulsed- laser revolutionized the
practice of plastic and cosmetic surgery by making
safe, consistent laser resurfacing possible.
Today, thousands of hospitals,
clinics and doctors worldwide are using lasers to
safely treat a variety of medical conditions that
previously where not treatable or hard to treat.
Europeans have benefited for years
from what is now termed Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT),
the non-invasive, breakthrough technology used to
enhance the appearance of hair.
In fact, the use of this breakthrough
treatment for both men and women is supported with
more than 3,500 published scientific studies
worldwide, for example:
In a clinical study published in
International Journal of Cosmetic Surgery and
Aesthetic Dermatology (Volume 5, Number 2,
2003), it was reported that the "combined
average hair count increase for all men and
women (using laser hair therapy) in the temporal
and vertex areas was 95.5% and tensile strength
was increased 78.9%".
Further evidence of laser therapy
efficacy was reported In a six-month Dateline news
survey of volunteers using different hair loss
treatments (a popular over the counter medication,
an over the counter lotion combined with the
medication, a European natural ingredient, laser
therapy and hair transplantation).
Aug 21, 2009 – BOCA RATON, FL – A
study conducted by Laboratoire Bio-EC — of
Paris, France — on the on ex-vivo growth of hair
from Low Level Laser Light exposure of hair
follicles in culture medium were presented
recently at the 17th Annual Meeting of the
International Society of Hair Restoration
Surgeons (ISHRS).
Michael Hamblin, PhD from Harvard
Medical School/Wellman Center for Photomedicine,
compared a dose of laser energy and a reference
dose on the growth of hair in a lab culture to
show that laser energy stimulated hair growth.
Isolated follicles were placed in the Philpott
hair culture medium, exposed to low level laser
irradiation, and measured for hair length
increases. Analysis of hairs grown ex-vivo
exposed to the two laser doses, were
photographed at regular intervals over ten days.
The conclusion of the study was
that the wave length dose studied induced
statistically significant increase in hair
growth vs. control dose at the conclusion of the
study. The significance of these results
is that it documents the ability of laser light
to stimulate hair growth in vitro. The results
showed that laser energy stimulated
proliferation of cells in the hair matrix.
Now you have the opportunity to
discover what Europeans have already discovered
using laser hair therapy--thicker, fuller, shinier,
and healthier looking hair.
Low Level Laser Therapy has been
featured on news telecast stories all over the
country on all of the major networks.
